Position Overview
The Patient Care Assistant will be based in Broome on a Part-time basis. You will play a vital role in supporting patients at the Renal Health Centre, assisting with daily activities whilst at the Renal unit and contributing to a safe and caring environment. This position involves collaboration with clinical staff to facilitate patient care and ensure all operational tasks are conducted efficiently and in accordance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities during their dialysis sessions, promoting independence while providing the necessary support.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
- Safely transport patients and goods while adhering to local transport regulations.
- Participate in service planning and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the overall effectiveness of patient care.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Aboriginal community control health and have a clear understanding of Aboriginal culture. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a good work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing quality client service and maintaining confidentiality.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- National police clearance
- “C” class Western Australian Drivers’ licence and a additional licence - Passenger Transport Driver's licence (PTD).
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Salary & Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary of $74,446 per annum pro rata, along with the following benefits:
- Accommodation allowance of $7,800 per annum pro rata
- Annual airfare benefit of $1,285 (after 12 months of service)
- Additionally, there is an option for salary sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum, providing further financial flexibility.
