Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) dedicated to advocating for the health and well-being of Aboriginal people in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Established in 1986, KAMS collaborates with member services to deliver comprehensive health care, educational programs, and support services across various communities.

Position Overview
The Pre-Dialysis Coordinator will be based in Kununurra on a Full-time basis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely access to pre-dialysis coordination, education, and care for patients in the Kimberley region. This position involves collaboration with healthcare providers, development of educational resources, and ongoing support for patients with advancing kidney disease.
Key responsibilities include managing referrals, educating patients and families about treatment options, and facilitating smooth transitions for patients requiring dialysis therapy. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Kimberley Renal Services and engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to enhance patient care.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to Aboriginal community health. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the renal field.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective training and education.
- Willingness to travel across the region as required.
- Current National Police Clearance and C class driver’s licence.
Additional qualifications in nephrology and experience within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations are desirable.
Salary & Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $120,380 per annum pro rata, along with following benefits:
- accommodation allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata
- Annual airfare of $1,800 (after 12 months of service)
- Optional salary sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata is also available.
